Originally a sugar plantation, the distillery sits on a 43 acre estate that grows its own sugarcane to extract first-pressed aromatic and flavorful sugarcane juice to distill pure Rhum from. This has become quite the focal point in the Rhum Agricole world with over 160,000 visitors making a pilgrimage there each year.
 
Clement Rhum is an award-winning Rhum Agricole that has spent four years maturing in virgin French Oak and in Bourbon barrels. Described as elegant, gentle and sophisticated, this VSOP Rhum is more like a single malt Whisky in composition than an aged Rum.
